About Our Founder

Meet Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson began his journey in the trucking industry as a technician before becoming a professional driver in 2008. Over the next decade, he successfully operated his own trucking company, hauling dry goods across the country and gaining extensive experience with oilfield transportation, flatbeds, tankers, and even autonomous trucks.

Throughout his career, Michael developed a deep understanding of the safety challenges faced by both the industry and its drivers, not just on the road, but in regard to driver health and overall well-being. That insight inspired a shift in his mission: to become part of the solution.

With a vision to raise the standard of training and safety, he founded Safety First Trucking Academy. For Michael, this wasn’t just a business, it was a calling. Opening the academy allowed him to lead from the front, impact lives, and contribute to a safer, stronger trucking community. His goal remains simple but powerful: to make the industry better and the roads safer, one student at a time.
